First transnational training for facilitators of EVOLVET in (Austria)

The city of Vienna will host from the 19th to the 25th of June 2016 a training course for the staff of the partner organisations of the project that will implement its future activities.

The training will be open to 14 workers and staff coming from the seven partner countries who will meet together in order to learn about the project materials created on the previous months. The main aim of the activity will be to provide to its attendees the competences needed to implement the next phase of the project: several local workshops on each partner country to test the intellectual and learning products created by the team of EVOLVET on the field of volunteer coordinators on development projects education. To facilitate this process, the training will be carried out by the staff who previously created the mentioned materials and that will transfer them thanks to dynamic workshops mixing formal and non formal methodologies. Besides this, the event will be used to get to know the local team of the Austrian partner of the project and best practices at local level on volunteer coordinators training.

Successful end of the second transnational meeting of EVOLVET in Helsinki (Finland)

Project coordinators and experts of EVOLVET joined together from the 18th to the 21st of May 2016 in order to decide the next steps of this Erasmus+ project.

The meeting that took place in Helsinki and hosted by Art in Tanzania (Finnish partner of EVOLVET), made possible for its participants to meet in order to evaluate the work done on the previous stages of the project, and especially the development of the intellectual outputs created for the training of volunteer coordinators on development projects. Besides a deep analysis of the mentioned materials, the activity made possible that the representatives of the seven partner organisations attending the event could work on different teams to improve the current project results and define the final programme of the next transnational mobility of the project; a training course for trainers on volunteering management that EVOLVET will run in Vienna (Austria) from the 19th to the 25th of June 2016 and that will be essential to capacitate those who will run the next stages of the project.

Implemented the first meeting of the project EVOLVET in Spain

Representatives of the different partner organisations of the project met together from the 9th to the 12th of December 2015 on the Spanish city of Logroño in order to set the basis and start to work on this European project co-funded by the Key Action 2 of the European Commission’s programme Erasmus+.

As kick-off meeting of the project, this transnational event joined together not only the local coordinators of EVOLVET project on each partner organisation, but also those professionals who will create the materials and intellectual outputs during the project implementation.

To begin with, the CONGDCAR and representatives of the Regional Office of La Rioja for External Affairs welcomed participants and introduced them the general description of the project, aims and objectives. Afterwards, representatives of each partner organisation had the chance to share with the others their entities’ programmes, structures, staff and especially those activities related with the main topic of the project (the training of volunteer coordinators on development projects). Once all the organisations were described, all the representatives checked together the general guidelines of the project, future steps, tasks to be done, administration procedures and justification documents related to it.

The second day of the meeting was mainly used to agree the dates of the next activities of the project and especially to start to work on the future intellectual outputs of EVOLVET. Attendees had not only the chance to establish the general structure of the project materials, but also to work in small groups about its content and share among them the results obtained during the whole day by a common reflection and evaluation.

EVOLVET starts! first transnational meeting of the project in Logroño (Spain)

From the 9th to the 12th of December 2015, fourteen representatives from different European development organisations will meet in the Spanish city of Logroño in order to start with the activities of this European project co-funded by the Key Action 2 of the European Commission’s programme Erasmus+.

EVOLVET (European VOLunteer coordinators Vocation Education and Training) is a two-year strategic partnership coordinated by the Spanish organisation CONGDCAR with the support of six entities working with development projects for social inclusion and education: Südwind Agentur (Austria), Art in Tanzania Ry (Finland), LVIA (Italy), Fund for Intercultural Education (Poland), Pista Mágica – Associação (Portugal) and Platforma dobrovolnickych centier a organizacii (Slovakia). The project aims at giving a positive impulsion to the training of volunteer coordinators by providing a standardised tool-kit containing on-the-job training materials for skills and competences commonly demanded to volunteer coordinators across Europe, not only for the management of development projects, but also on the concrete education and training of the volunteers taking part on them. During the project duration, partners will use the collected information and materials to create a common tool-kit that will be tested on the different partner countries in order to ensure its quality and improve it using real volunteer coordinators working on development organisations. This will directly contribute to promote the transparency and recognition of their qualifications and competences using also already established systems based on measurable recognitions at transnational level, including those acquired through formal, non-formal and informal learning. Moreover, the project will also run transnational training mobilities and multiplier events that will make possible to volunteer coordinators from the different partner countries not only to take part in common education initiatives about volunteers management embedded within the activities of the project, but also to participate on learning activities about this topic on their home countries.
